My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Quite often new bloggers, and seasoned experts in the blogosphere, believe they are sitting at the end of the blogging rainbow and the pot is empty. Sitting staring into a blank screen, they wonder if there is such a thing as creativity, the magical place where the spirit of authorship and imagination merge.

This text shares an interesting concept: no idea is, in and of itself, new or original. Expounding on this well-known concept, the author shares ideas and illustrates the process of idea generation and the power of our mind’s fertile soil, to nurture the seeds of original ideas and allow for the germination of novel mind-blowing concepts.

Setting, as his foundation, the premise that we can use “old” ideas as the cornerstone upon which to build new ones, he share over 100 blog ideas. These ideas transcend the spectrum of blogging – WordPress blogging platform, blog layout design, content generation, and monetization. His overarching statement is simple – arm yourself with a toolbox of ideas.

This book is great for the new blogger, especially one who uses WordPress. As a proficient user of Google Blogger, I skipped this part.

Why 4 stars?
This book is well-written. It does not, however, provide a well-rounded picture for the blogger who wishes to use other blogging platforms, such as Tumblr or Blogger.
