QuickLit Review

How to Journal for Mental Health

I decided to listen to this book because I know the power of journaling, and I wanted a more nuanced text that focused on leveraging this power.

Defining the process of journaling as “where you will confront your vulnerabilities,” the author clearly explains the relationship between mental health and journaling practice.

The audiobook was well-organized and structured in the format of a master class. Janet’s insight evoked emotions such as hope, encouragement, and faith in the healing process of journaling. Moreover, after listening, I felt confident and empowered.

I will refer back to this audiobook annually to refresh my brain on the practice of mental health journaling.

I highly recommend this book to those dealing with mental health stressors as a result of the pandemic and those new to the practice of journaling.

As a “mirror to our inner selves”, journaling has the immense ability to allow us to listen to our inner voices and be heard.
